People Can't Agree On Whether These '70s Movies Are Total Classics Or Absolute Flops (But I Know The Truth)

For a long time, yours truly was blissfully unaware that some people consider the illustrious '70s a flop decade for cinema. What?! ...Okay, yes, after the boom of the '60s, Hollywood was running out of money, and as a result, the 1970s produced some cheap flops. Some. But we also came out of the decade with timeless, exceedingly rewatchable classics like The Godfather and The Exorcist — movies that to this day remain part of essential film viewing canon.

But I'm curious to see what you, the general public think; are these '70s movies total classics, or are they maybe a little overrated? Bare the truth to me!

1. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)

4. What's Up, Doc? (1972)

9. Young Frankenstein (1974)

13. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

14. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)

16. The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)

17. Dog Day Afternoon (1975)

22. Saturday Night Fever (1977)

27. Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979)

29. The Muppet Movie (1979)
